Terms of Service

1.Acceptance & Eligibility

By creating an account or using Aranis, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent to use Aranis.
• One account per person. Sharing logins with others is grounds for suspension.
• You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

2.What Aranis Provides

Aranis is an AI-assisted website builder. You enter a brief, our AI generates landing-page HTML, and you can publish the result to a free <sub>.aranis.site subdomain — or to a custom domain you own, on paid plans.

The service is provided "as-is". We aim for 99% uptime, but at this stage we do not guarantee specific SLAs.

3.Account Security

• You are responsible for keeping your password safe.
• Notify us immediately at hello@aranis.site if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We may suspend accounts that show signs of compromise (unusual logins, sudden bulk activity) without notice while we investigate.
• We never ask for your password by email or chat.

4.Your Content

You retain copyright to all HTML, text, images, and prompts you create or upload through Aranis.

You grant Aranis a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, process, render, and serve this content for as long as your account exists — purely so the service works. We do not use your content for AI training, advertising, or any purpose beyond running Aranis for you.

You represent that you have the rights to anything you upload, including images, copy, and any third-party material referenced in your sites.

5.Prohibited Use

The following are not allowed on Aranis:

• Online gambling, lottery, or unlicensed financial promotions.
• Adult or sexually explicit content.
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level-marketing recruitment funnels, get-rich-quick scams.
• Phishing, malware distribution, or any content designed to deceive visitors.
• Sale of prescription drugs, controlled substances, or restricted goods without proper licensing.
• Impersonation of brands or individuals you don't represent.
• Sites that violate Malaysian law (sedition, defamation, content that breaches the Penal Code or the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998).
• Reselling Aranis-generated HTML as your own "website builder" or wrapping our service in a competing product.

We may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these rules. In serious cases we may report to the relevant authorities.

6.Payment & Subscription

• Billing is in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), processed through ToyyibPay.
• Pricing is shown at /pricing. Current plans: Free, Starter, Advance, Pro, Business, Agency.
• Plans are paid in advance per cycle — monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You renew manually before each cycle ends. Once a cycle expires, paid features pause and you fall back to Free until you renew.
• No refunds. All payments are final and non-refundable, in full or in part — including any unused portion of a subscription period if you cancel early or downgrade. By subscribing, you waive any refund right. This is intentional: we let you try every paid feature free or via trial periods first, so you can decide before paying.
• If a payment fails or is reversed (e.g. chargeback), we may suspend your account and take live sites offline until the dispute is resolved.

7.Custom Domains

• You are responsible for owning the domain you attach and for any DNS / registrar fees.
• Aranis is not a party to disputes between you and your domain registrar.
• When you detach a domain, we remove it from our hosting infrastructure immediately; the site becomes unreachable at that hostname.
• If a domain becomes unverified or fails certificate provisioning, we may automatically detach it after notifying you.

8.Service Changes

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time, including changes to plan limits or pricing. For paid users, material changes (price increases, feature removals) will be announced via email at least 14 days in advance.

9.Termination

• You may delete your account anytime from /account/profile.
• We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
• On termination: live sites go offline within 24 hours; your project HTML is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
• Termination doesn't affect any rights or obligations that survive by their nature (limitation of liability, indemnity, payment terms for past usage).

10.Limitation of Liability

Aranis is provided without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damages arising from outages of our AI inference partner, payment processor (ToyyibPay), image host (ImgBB), or hosting infrastructure (Vercel).

Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you have paid Aranis in that period, or MYR 100, whichever is greater.

11.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Aranis against claims from third parties arising from your content — for example, if someone sues over a defamatory landing page you built, over trademark infringement in copy you wrote, or over copyright infringement in images you uploaded.

12.Governing Law & Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
• Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 applies to all personal data we handle — see our Privacy Policy.

13.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will email all account holders at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Aranis after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
